Musical compositions can be reproduced only with the author’s consent. Reproduction is making copies on different data carriers (CD, DVD, cassette, etc). Recording rights of most Estonian and foreign musical compositions in our region are represented by Nordisk Copyright Bureau (NCB) in Copenhagen. In Estonia, NCB is represented by EAÜ NCB department.

Detailed information with different application forms can be found from the EAÜ homepage.

To record a musical composition from already existing audio carrier, it is also necessary to get a respective permit also from the audio carrier manufacturer (producer) and the performers of the composition.

Customers from abroad are liable to request a recording permit from the domestic organisations representing recording rights before entering an order. Only exception in such case is companies with NCB Standard Contract. Ordering data of foreign customers are delivered to international organisations representing recording rights though EAÜ/NCB department.
